Causative form

Causative form คือ ประโยคที่ เรา ไปจ้าง ขอร้อง สั่ง ให้ ใครสักคนหนึ่งทำกริยาให้ เช่น ครูจ้างโจรฆ่า ผ.อ. หมายความว่า ครูเป็นคนจ้างวาน โดยมีโจรเป็นคนทำกริยา คือ ฆ่า ผ.อ. เป็นต้น Causative form มี 2 ประเภท ดังนี้
1. Active Causative Form (บอกคนทำกริยา)
S + have + someone + V1 + something
get to V1
เช่น I have a doctor check my body.
She gets a hairdresser to cut her hair.

2. Passive Causative Form (ไม่บอกคนทำกริยา)
S + have + something + V3
get
เช่น I will have my body checked.
She got her hair cut

Have, make, let are causative verbs
I have my maid wash the dishes.
แต่ get someone to do something
I get my maid to wash the dishes
Have and get + something done .
I have all my dishes washed.

Modal Verbs

Active Modal = ต้องตามด้วย V1 เช่น I can swim.
Passive Modal ต้องเติม be แล้วตามด้วย V3 นะจ๊ะ เช่น You will be killed.
เพลงModal
Must นั้นแปลว่า ต้อง
และ Have to ก็แปลว่า ต้อง
Mustn’t นั้นแปลว่า ห้าม
แต่ Don’t have to แปลว่า ไม่ต้อง
Ought to กับ should คล้ายกัน
แต่ Ought to นั้นให้ Opinion ไม่ได้
ใน Strong obligation ล่ะ Ought to นั้นก็ใช้ไม่ได้
Can / Could : Ability, Possibility, Requests, Offers
ใช้กับ Verbs of perception ทั้งสองคำนั้น คือ Continuous
Tense อื่นนั้นใช้ไม่ได้ คำแทนมาใช้ Able to, Manage
Could คือ General ability ไม่ใช่ One occasion
May อาจแปลว่า Although
แต่ May / Might as well ไม่กระตือรือร้น
บอก Possibility, Uncertainty ในความหมาย Present
May/Might มาใช้ กับ Try : May เป็น Present ไง และ Might เป็น Past
Shall ใช้ Offer services, Ask for decision, Make suggestion
หรือเน้นว่าผู้พูดมั่นใจว่าสิ่งนั้นจะเกิดขึ้นแน่
Shall ใช้ใน กฎ ต่างๆได้ No player shall move the ball of another
Will ใช้ Future ปกติ หรือ ใช้ตั้งสมมติฐาน
